Details
The AD7641 is a high-speed, high-performance, 18-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) designed for applications that require high precision and fast conversion rates. It has a sampling rate of up to 1 megasample per second (MSPS) and features a differential input with a range of ±10V.The ADC uses a successive approximation register (SAR) architecture with a capacitive digital-to-analog converter (DAC) to achieve its high level of precision. It has a typical integral nonlinearity (INL) of ±1 LSB and differential nonlinearity (DNL) of ±0.5 LSB, ensuring accurate conversion of analog signals.The AD7641 is designed for use in a wide range of applications, including industrial automation, medical imaging, instrumentation, and communications systems. It operates over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is housed in a compact 16-lead TSSOP package, making it suitable for space-constrained environments.Additionally, the ADC offers low power consumption, with a typical power dissipation of only 20 mW at a 1 MSPS conversion rate. It also features a flexible digital interface with SPI-compatible serial data output and eight dedicated digital I/O lines for control and configuration.
