Details
The AD7863 is a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) manufactured by Analog Devices. It is a dual-channel ADC with simultaneous sampling capability, meaning it can convert two analog input signals at the same time. The device has a high sampling rate of up to 250 kilosamples per second (kSPS) and a typical conversion time of 4.8 microseconds.The AD7863 operates from a single power supply voltage of 5 volts and consumes low power, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. It has a wide input voltage range of ±10 volts and features a programmable reference input for flexibility in system design.The ADC includes an on-chip track-and-hold circuit to ensure accurate sampling of fast-changing analog input signals. It also features a serial interface that allows easy communication with microcontrollers and other digital devices.The AD7863 offers excellent performance with a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 73dB and total harmonic distortion (THD) of -82dB. It is available in a compact 28-lead TSSOP package, making it ideal for space-constrained applications.
