The ADAM-4520-EE is a 1-port RS-232 to RS-422/485 converter designed for industrial automation applications. It features a rugged metal housing that is DIN-rail mountable, making it suitable for use in harsh environments. The converter supports full-duplex RS-422 and half-duplex RS-485 operation, with data rates of up to 115.2 kbps.The ADAM-4520-EE is equipped with 2.5 kV isolation protection, which helps prevent damage to connected devices from electrical surges and ensures reliable data communication. It also features automatic data direction control for easy configuration and operation. The converter can be powered by a wide range of voltages, from 10 to 30 VDC, making it flexible for use in a variety of industrial settings.In terms of connectivity, the ADAM-4520-EE has a DB9 male connector for the RS-232 port and a terminal block for the RS-422/485 port. It also supports automatic data rate detection and can be easily configured via DIP switches on the front panel.
