Details
The ADM1021 is a temperature sensor and fan controller designed for monitoring and controlling the temperature of personal computers and other electronic devices. It includes a temperature sensor, analog-to-digital converter, and control logic, all in a small 8-pin package. The sensor can measure temperatures from -40°C to +125°C with an accuracy of ±1°C.The ADM1021 has two control modes: automatic and manual. In automatic mode, the device can control up to two fans based on the temperature readings from the sensor. The fan speed is adjusted to maintain a set temperature within a programmable hysteresis range. In manual mode, the fans can be controlled directly through external PWM signals.The ADM1021 also features programmable temperature limits, fan speed control, and alarms for high or low temperature conditions. It communicates with the host system through an I2C-compatible serial interface, allowing for easy integration into a variety of systems.
