Details
AN7163 is a low dropout voltage regulator IC specially designed for use in car audio systems. It is capable of providing a continuous output current of up to 500mA and operating within a wide input voltage range of 8V to 18V, making it suitable for automotive applications. The IC has a low dropout voltage of only 0.1V at a maximum output current, ensuring efficient regulation of the output voltage.AN7163 features built-in thermal shutdown and overcurrent protection circuits to prevent damage to the IC and the connected devices in case of overvoltage or overcurrent conditions. It also has built-in soft start and short-circuit protection functions for added reliability and safety.The IC comes in a compact TO-220 package with three pins for easy installation and connection in circuit boards. It has a high power supply rejection ratio of 75dB and a low output noise level, ensuring clean and stable output voltage for audio applications.
