Details
The APDS-9301 is a digital ambient light sensor that converts light intensity into a digital output. It is designed to provide accurate ambient light sensing in a compact form factor. This sensor utilizes an I2C interface for communication with an external microcontroller, allowing for easy integration into a wide range of applications.The APDS-9301 features a wide dynamic range of up to 23-bit resolution, allowing for precise light detection in various lighting conditions. It also includes an interrupt function that can be configured to alert the system when a certain light threshold is reached, enabling power-saving features and enhancing overall system efficiency.Additionally, the APDS-9301 is designed to operate on low power, making it suitable for battery-operated devices. It has a low standby current consumption of 2 µA and an active current consumption of 300 µA, making it ideal for energy-efficient applications.
