Details
The AS5043 is a contactless magnetic rotary encoder IC that provides high-resolution angular measurement with a resolution of up to 10-bit. It can sense the absolute angle of a magnetic field when paired with a diametrically magnetized magnet rotating above the chip. This allows for accurate position sensing in a variety of applications such as automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics.Some key features of the AS5043 include a low operating voltage range of 3.3V to 3.6V, a sleep mode for power-saving operation, and a fast data update rate of up to 15kHz. It also has a programmable zero position, adjustable angular range, and flexible output interfaces including SSI, PWM, and SPI.The AS5043 uses a proprietary decoding algorithm to convert the raw magnetic field data into absolute angular measurements with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability. This makes it suitable for applications that require precise position sensing over a wide range of operating conditions.
