Details
The AT28C256-15PU, developed by Microchip, is a high-performance 256Kbit Parallel EEPROM suitable for both Industrial and Military temp ranges. It offers access times to 150ns and a power dissipation of 440mW, with a CMOS standby current of less than 200μA when deselected. The device can be accessed like static RAM for the read or write cycle without requiring external components and includes a 64-byte page register to facilitate writing of up to 64bytes simultaneously. In its Military version, it features an internal Error Correction Circuit for extended endurance and improved data retention, as well as an optional Software Data Protection mechanism guarding against inadvertent writes. Additionally, an extra 64 bytes of EEPROM enable device identification or tracking. For those interested in the MIL product, the AT28C256 is available DUAL MARKED with the appropriate Standard Military Drawing Number - 5962-88525xxxx, where applicable.
