Details
The BZX55C18 is a zener diode with a nominal voltage of 18V and a power dissipation of 500mW. It is housed in a DO-35 package, which is a small glass package commonly used for diodes. The BZX55C18 has a tolerance of ±5%, meaning that its actual reverse breakdown voltage can vary by up to 5% from the nominal 18V.This zener diode is designed to operate in the reverse breakdown region, where it maintains a relatively constant voltage across its terminals regardless of the current flowing through it. This makes it useful for voltage regulation and voltage reference applications in electronic circuits. The BZX55C18 has a maximum reverse leakage current of 5μA and a maximum zener impedance of 15Ω at a test current of 5mA.
