Details
The CCS801 is a digital gas sensor that detects a wide range of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), as well as carbon monoxide (CO) and other gases. It is a compact and low power sensor, suitable for use in portable and battery-operated devices.The sensor uses a metal-oxide semiconductor (MOX) technology, which provides high sensitivity and fast response times. It can detect VOCs in concentrations as low as 10 parts per billion (ppb) and CO in concentrations as low as 1-5 parts per million (ppm). The CCS801 has a measurement range of 400 to 8192 ppb for VOCs and 0 to 8192 ppm for CO.The sensor communicates with a microcontroller via an I2C interface, making it easy to integrate into existing devices. It also features a built-in heater to increase sensitivity and reduce response times.The CCS801 is commonly used in indoor air quality monitors, wearable devices, and smart home appliances to monitor and control air quality. It can provide real-time data on VOC and CO levels, allowing for timely actions to improve air quality and ensure the health and safety of occupants.
