Details
CP2120 is a multi-channel configurable stepper motor controller and driver IC manufactured by Silicon Labs. It supports up to 3 stepper motors, each with up to 256 microstep resolution, making it ideal for applications requiring precise motor control such as 3D printers, robotics, and CNC machines. The CP2120 features a high-performance ARM Cortex-M0 core running at speeds up to 50 MHz, providing fast and efficient motor control. It also includes integrated step pulse generators and advanced motion control features such as acceleration and deceleration profiles, configurable current control, and stall detection. Designed for easy integration into existing systems, the CP2120 can communicate with a host microcontroller through a variety of interfaces including UART, SPI, and I2C. It also supports daisy-chaining multiple CP2120 devices for controlling multiple motors in a synchronized manner.In addition, the CP2120 offers comprehensive protection features including overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, and thermal shutdown to ensure the safety and reliability of the system.
