The HC4051A is a high-speed CMOS analog multiplexer/demultiplexer with address decoding. It features an 8-channel single-ended or 4-channel differential analog input/output configuration. The device is designed for signal routing applications in communication systems, test equipment, and data acquisition systems.The HC4051A operates over a wide voltage range of 2V to 10V, making it compatible with both TTL and CMOS levels. It has a low ON-resistance of 125Ω at VDD - VEE = 10V, allowing for minimal distortion and attenuation of the analog signals passing through it. The device also has low leakage currents, ensuring accurate and reliable signal routing.The decoder circuitry of the HC4051A allows for easy selection of one of the eight channels using three address inputs. The outputs are capable of handling analog signals as well as digital signals, making it versatile for various applications.
