The HEF4082BP is a dual 4-input AND gate IC (integrated circuit) from the CMOS 4000 series family. It is designed to perform logical AND operations on four input signals, producing a single output based on the input conditions. This IC has two independent AND gates on a single chip, each with four inputs labeled as A, B, C, and D. The outputs are labeled as Y1 and Y2, corresponding to each gate. The AND gates follow the principle that all inputs must be high (logic 1) for the output to be high (logic 1). Otherwise, the output will be low (logic 0). The HEF4082BP operates on a wide voltage range from 3V to 15V, making it suitable for various electronic applications. It has a low power consumption, making it energy-efficient and ideal for battery-powered devices. The IC is housed in a DIP-14 package, which provides ease of use and compatibility with standard breadboards and circuit designs.
