Details
IP1001 is a drug candidate being developed by Intellipharmaceutics International for the treatment of various neurological disorders, including neuropathic pain. The drug is a novel controlled-release formulation of oxycodone, an opioid analgesic. IP1001 works by slowly releasing oxycodone into the body over an extended period of time, providing continuous pain relief for up to 12 hours. This slow-release mechanism not only reduces the frequency of dosing but also helps to minimize the potential for opioid abuse and addiction. Intellipharmaceutics International has conducted several preclinical studies and clinical trials to evaluate the safety and efficacy of IP1001. The results have shown promising outcomes in terms of pain relief and tolerability.The company is currently in the process of seeking regulatory approval for IP1001 in various countries.
