Details
The ISL8500 is a high voltage, high efficiency synchronous buck regulator designed for various applications such as industrial, automotive, and communications systems. It operates from input voltages ranging from 4.5V to 36V, making it suitable for a wide range of power supply designs.This regulator can deliver up to 500mA of continuous output current with peak efficiency of up to 95%, thanks to its integrated high-side and low-side NMOS power MOSFETs. The output voltage can be adjusted from 0.8V to VIN using an external resistor divider, allowing for flexibility in design.The ISL8500 features adjustable frequency operation up to 1.5MHz, enabling optimization of efficiency and external component size. It also includes overcurrent, overvoltage, and thermal protection features to ensure reliable operation in various conditions.Other key features of the ISL8500 include a power-good output indicator, soft-start capability, and a small footprint package (3mm x 3mm TDFN-8), making it suitable for space-constrained applications.
