By combining a Media Access Controller (MAC) and an Ethernet PHY, the LAN8651 simplifies the integration process for microcontroller-based designs that lack an on-board MAC. With its standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), the LAN8651 can interface with a wide range of microcontrollers using only four pins, making it a versatile and easy-to-implement solution
