Details
The LM25005MH switching regulator integrates all the essential functions required to implement an efficient, high voltage buck regulator with minimal external components. Its key features include a 42V, 160mΩ, N-channel MOSFET and an output current capability of 2.5 Amps. The regulator employs current mode control with an emulated current ramp, offering benefits such as inherent line voltage feed-forward, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and ease of loop compensation. Moreover, the emulated control ramp reduces noise sensitivity of the pulse-width modulation circuit, allowing for reliable control of very small duty cycles in high input voltage applications. With a programmable operating frequency ranging from 50kHz to 500kHz, and an oscillator synchronization pin for self-synchronization or external clock synchronization, the LM25005MH caters to diverse application needs. Additionally, it incorporates protection features such as current limit, thermal shutdown, and remote shutdown capability. The device is housed in a power enhanced HTSSOP package with an exposed die attach pad for improved thermal dissipation
