Details
Ideal for step-down regulator applications from a high voltage or widely varying input supply, the LM25116MH is a synchronous buck controller that employs current mode control using an emulated current ramp. This method offers various advantages including inherent line feedforward, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and ease of loop compensation. These features make the LM25116MH reliable for controlling very small duty cycles necessary in high input voltage applications. The device has a programmable operating frequency from 50 kHz to 1 MHz and drives external high-side and low-side NMOS power switches with adaptive dead-time control. It also includes a user-selectable diode emulation mode for discontinuous mode operation, a low quiescent current shutdown, high voltage bias regulator, automatic switch-over to external bias, thermal shutdown, frequency synchronization, cycle-by-cycle current limit, and adjustable line undervoltage lockout. With a power enhanced 20-pin HTSSOP package featuring an exposed die attach pad, the LM25116MH facilitates efficient thermal dissipation
