Details
The LM2931A is a low dropout voltage regulator designed to provide a fixed output voltage of 5V with a maximum dropout voltage of 0.6V at a load current of 100mA. It can operate with input voltages ranging from 8V to 26V, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The typical output voltage accuracy is ±2%, and it has a low ground current of 10mA, making it ideal for applications where power efficiency is a concern.The LM2931A features thermal shutdown protection to prevent damage from overheating, as well as current limiting and reverse battery protection to ensure safe operation in various conditions. It is available in a TO-92 package for through-hole mounting or an SOT-89 package for surface mount applications, providing flexibility for different design requirements.
