The LM4835 is a stereo audio amplifier designed for use in portable devices such as smartphones, tablets, and MP3 players. It features a low-power consumption of 40mW per channel and a wide supply voltage range of 3V to 6V, making it ideal for battery-powered applications. The amplifier can deliver a maximum output power of 1W per channel into 8 ohms with less than 1% total harmonic distortion.The LM4835 includes a thermal shutdown protection feature to prevent overheating and damage to the device. It also has a mute function that allows the user to control the audio output when needed. The amplifier has a fixed gain of 6dB and a high signal-to-noise ratio of 95dB, ensuring clear and crisp audio playback.In terms of package options, the LM4835 is available in a space-saving 20-pin TSSOP package, making it easy to integrate into compact designs. The amplifier also has a shutdown mode that further reduces power consumption when not in use.
