The LM4853 is a versatile audio power amplifier designed for driving low voltage audio devices such as headphones or speakers. It can deliver up to 1.45 watts of power into an 8-ohm load with low distortion and noise. The LM4853 operates on a single supply voltage ranging from 2.7V to 5.5V, making it ideal for portable devices powered by batteries or low voltage power sources. It also has a shutdown mode to conserve power when not in use.This audio amplifier features a fixed gain of 3dB and a built-in thermal shutdown protection circuit to prevent overheating. It has a unity-gain stable operation and can drive loads as low as 8 ohms, making it suitable for driving small speakers or headphones.The LM4853 is housed in a small SSOP package, making it easy to integrate into compact designs. It also has a low quiescent current consumption of only 4mA, further enhancing its suitability for battery-powered applications.
