Details
LM4936 is a fully integrated audio subsystem that combines a stereo, ground-referenced headphone amplifier, a stereo audio codec, and a mono high-efficiency speaker amplifier in a single 4mm x 4mm package. The headphone amplifier is capable of delivering 70 mW per channel into a 32Ω load with less than 1% total harmonic distortion (THD). The audio codec includes both an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with a sampling rate of up to 48 kHz. The speaker amplifier can deliver 1.3W of output power into an 8Ω load with 5% THD, making it suitable for driving small speakers in portable devices.The LM4936 features a digital audio interface that allows seamless integration with digital audio sources, such as smartphones, tablets, and portable media players. It also includes programmable gain settings for both the headphone and speaker amplifiers, as well as a programmable volume control for the headphones. Power-saving features, such as shutdown and standby modes, help extend battery life in portable devices.
