Details
The LTC1592 is a precision 18-bit multiplying digital-to-analog converter (DAC) developed by Linear Technology, now acquired by Analog Devices. It operates on a single 10V to 16.5V supply voltage and has an internal reference voltage of 5V. The DAC offers a monotonic output voltage over the full temperature range, ensuring reliable and accurate performance.The LTC1592 features a serial interface that allows for easy communication with microcontrollers or digital signal processors (DSPs). It also includes a software-selectable power-on reset function that ensures the DAC powers up in a known state.This DAC provides a 2-quadrant subtractive multiplying configuration with a full-scale output range of ±10V. It has a total unadjusted error of ±3LSB (least significant bit) and a zero-scale (offset) error of ±1LSB, which ensures high accuracy in voltage output.The LTC1592 is housed in a 28-pin SSOP package, making it suitable for use in a variety of industrial, automotive, and communication applications that require high precision and reliability in voltage-controlled systems. Its low power consumption makes it an energy-efficient choice for battery-powered applications.
