The LV8417CS is a stepper motor driver IC developed by ON Semiconductor. It is specifically designed for driving bipolar stepper motors in various applications such as printers, scanners, cameras, and other precision equipment. Key features of the LV8417CS include a built-in H-bridge circuit for driving the motor in both forward and reverse directions, a microstepping function for high precision control, and a current control function to protect the motor from overcurrent conditions. The IC operates at a supply voltage ranging from 4.5V to 16V and can deliver a maximum output current of 1.2A per phase. It is designed to operate in full-step, half-step, quarter-step, and eighth-step modes, providing flexibility in motor control and allowing for smooth and precise movements.
