Details
The N80C198 is a microcontroller manufactured by Intel Corporation. It is based on the MCS-96 microcontroller architecture and is specifically designed for use in embedded systems and industrial control applications. The N80C198 features a 16-bit CPU core with an enhanced instruction set and multiple on-chip peripherals, including timers/counters, serial communication interfaces, and a memory management unit. It has a clock speed of up to 16 MHz and can execute instructions at a rate of up to 1 million instructions per second. The N80C198 is equipped with 8 KB of on-chip program memory (ROM) and 256 bytes of on-chip RAM. It also supports external memory expansion through an address/data bus interface. In addition, the N80C198 offers a variety of I/O options, including digital input/output ports, analog-to-digital converters, and pulse-width modulation outputs. It also includes power management features for low-power operation and standby modes.
