The NJM4556AV is a dual high current operational amplifier that is designed for high performance audio applications. It is capable of delivering a maximum output current of 70mA per channel and has a wide operating voltage range of +/-4.5V to +/-18V. This makes it suitable for use in a variety of audio equipment, such as amplifiers, preamplifiers, and active filters.The NJM4556AV features low distortion, low noise, and high slew rate, making it ideal for high fidelity audio applications. It has a typical slew rate of 7V/μs and a typical total harmonic distortion of 0.02% at 1kHz. The dual configuration of the amplifier allows for easy implementation in stereo audio systems.In addition, the NJM4556AV is housed in an 8-pin DIP package, making it easy to solder onto a PCB. It also has built-in short circuit protection and thermal shutdown circuitry to prevent damage to the amplifier during abnormal operating conditions.
