With the ability to fan out the SCL/SDA upstream pair to eight downstream channels, this device offers a practical solution for managing multiple channels and resolving I2C slave address conflicts. The built-in reset function allows the system master to easily reset the device in the event of improper operation, ensuring smooth and reliable functionality. Additionally, the pass gates of the switches enable the use of different bus voltages on each pair, eliminating the need for additional protection.
