The RN42APL-I/RM features a high-performance PCB trace antenna and supports Bluetooth EDR, offering a data rate of up to 3 Mbps over distances of up to 20 meters. This makes it suitable for applications requiring reliable wireless connectivity with fast data transfer speeds. Additionally, the RN42APL-I/RM is available without an antenna (RN42N) for applications that require an external antenna. The RN42N is fully compatible with the RN42 in terms of form, function, and pin compatibility
