The SA6050 is a highly integrated FM receiver circuit designed for use in portable devices such as cell phones, tablets, and MP3 players. It features a low-power design, consuming only 18 mA of current at 3 V, making it ideal for battery-operated applications.The SA6050 includes a mixer, IF amplifier, and demodulator, all of which are housed in a single 20-pin SSOP package. This compact design saves valuable board space and simplifies the overall system design.The device operates over a frequency range of 76 to 108 MHz, making it compatible with standard FM radio broadcasts. It also features an integrated voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) and PLL synthesizer, ensuring accurate tuning and high sensitivity.The SA6050 supports both mono and stereo reception, as well as the Radio Data System (RDS) for displaying additional information such as station names and song titles. It also includes an automatic frequency control (AFC) feature to maintain stable reception in varying signal conditions.
