Details
The SG1844/45 control IC family is designed to meet the demands of off-line Fixed Frequency, Current-mode switching power supplies with minimal external components. With features such as improved line regulation, load regulation, pulse-by-pulse current limiting, and protection of the power supply output switch, the SG1844/45 is a reliable choice for power supply implementations. The Bandgap reference is trimmed to ±1% over temperature, and the oscillator discharge current is trimmed to less than ±10%, ensuring accurate and stable operation. Additionally, the SG1844/45 includes under-voltage lockout, current-limiting circuitry, and start-up current of less than 1mA. The totem-pole output is optimized to drive the gate of a power MOSFET, with low output in the off state for direct interface to an N-channel device. Operating up to a maximum duty cycle range of zero to <50%, the SG1844/45 is specified for operation over the full military ambient temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. For commercial applications, the SG3844/45 is designed for operation in the range of 0°C to 70°C. With Microchip Ordering Part Numbers and Standard Microcircuit Drawings (SMD), the SG1844/45 family offers a comprehensive range of options to meet specific project requirements
