Details
The Smart Reset™ devices present a beneficial feature that mitigates the risk of inadvertent system resets caused by short reset button presses. By incorporating extended Smart Reset™ input delay time and combined push-button inputs, these devices establish a secure reset process that eliminates the need for a dedicated reset button. This innovative reset configuration enhances adaptability and allows for the distinction between a software-generated interrupt and a hard system reset. When connected to microcontroller interrupt inputs, the push-buttons prompt a processor interrupt upon brief closure. If the system fails to respond appropriately, holding the push-buttons closed for the extended setup time triggers a hard reset through the reset output. The SR2 variant includes two combined delayed Smart Reset™ inputs with pre-set delay times, activating the reset output only when both inputs remain active for the specified delay duration. Depending on the selected option, the reset output can remain active until at least one input becomes inactive or maintain a fixed duration as set by the factory. Operating across a wide voltage range from 1.65V to 5.5V, the device disregards inputs below 1.575V, ensuring reliable functionality even at lower voltage levels
