Details
The TDA6651 is a highly integrated single-conversion TV tuner and demodulator IC designed for use in analog TV receivers. It supports the PAL, SECAM, and NTSC TV standards, making it suitable for use in a wide range of regions.The TDA6651 features a built-in VIF (video intermediate frequency) amplifier, quadrature demodulator, AFC (automatic frequency control) loop, and PLL (phase-locked loop) synthesizer. It also includes a sound IF (intermediate frequency) amplifier and a stereo decoder for processing audio signals.The tuner section of the TDA6651 is based on a low-noise VHF/UHF mixer with a wide tuning range of 48 to 858 MHz. It uses a PLL synthesizer to generate the LO (local oscillator) signal for the mixer, allowing for accurate channel selection and tuning.The demodulator section of the TDA6651 includes a quadrature demodulator for processing the IF signal and extracting the baseband video and audio signals. It also features an AFC loop to automatically adjust the LO frequency to maintain proper tuning.
