Additionally, the device features an adjustable current-limited load switch on the VBUS_CON pin, supporting VBUS currents up to 2.4 A and enabling compatibility with various charging schemes, including USB BC1.2 and USB Type-C 5V/1.5A. Its separate enable pins for data and VBUS enable flexible operation in both host and client-OTG mode, offering versatility for different system configurations. Moreover, the TPD3S716-Q1 integrates system-level ESD protection on its VBUS_CON, VD+, and VD– pins, eliminating the need for external diodes. With its unmatched performance and comprehensive protection features, the TPD3S716-Q1 sets a new standard for automotive USB connector protection, providing reliability and peace of mind in demanding automotive applications
