Details
With its 70-mΩ N-channel MOSFET power switches, the TPS2041BD is specifically designed for applications where heavy capacitive loads and short circuits are common. It provides multiple power switches in a single package, controlled by a logic enable input and gate drive from an internal charge pump. This design minimizes current surges during switching and allows for operation from supplies as low as 2.7 V without the requirement for external components. The device also incorporates a thermal protection circuit that automatically shuts off the switch to prevent damage if the junction temperature rises due to excessive power dissipation. After cooling down, the device automatically recovers from thermal shutdown and ensures the switch remains off until valid input voltage is present. With a designed current limit of 1 A, the TPS2041BD is a dependable choice for power-distribution systems facing challenging conditions
