The TPS62162DSG is a step-down converter IC from Texas Instruments designed for maximizing efficiency in battery-powered applications. It features a wide input voltage range of 3V to 17V and has an adjustable output voltage from 0.9V to 6V. The device is capable of delivering a maximum output current of 3A while maintaining a high efficiency of up to 95%.The TPS62162DSG employs a fixed-frequency PWM control scheme to regulate the output voltage and provides excellent transient response for rapid load changes. It also features a voltage mode control for superior line and load regulation.
