Details

Featuring a unique blend of high performance and cost effectiveness, the TPS76801QPWPREP device is engineered to deliver a fast transient response and maintain stability with 10-µF low ESR capacitors. The PMOS device acts as a low-value resistor, resulting in an exceptionally low dropout voltage, typically 230 mV at an output current of 1 A for the TPS76850, directly proportional to the output current. Moreover, the PMOS pass element's voltage-driven operation ensures a very low quiescent current, independent of output loading, offering a significant improvement in operating life for battery-powered systems. The LDO family also incorporates a sleep mode, reducing the quiescent current to less than 1 µA at TJ = 25°C with a TTL high signal applied to EN (enable). Additionally, the power good (PG) output provides an active high signal, suitable for implementing a power-on reset or low-battery indicator. Available in various fixed-voltage versions and an adjustable version, with an output voltage tolerance of maximum 2% over line, load, and temperature ranges, the TPS768xx family is offered in a 20-pin PWP package
