Details
With the UC1845J control integrated circuit, designers can effortlessly implement off-line or DC-to-DC fixed-frequency current-mode control schemes while keeping external component needs to a minimum. Internally, the UC1845J features circuits such as undervoltage lockout (UVLO) with a start-up current of less than 1 mA, and a precision reference trimmed for accuracy at the error amplifier input. It also includes logic for latched operation, a pulse-width modulation (PWM) comparator with current-limit control, and a totem-pole output stage able to source or sink high-peak current. The UC1845J is designed to work seamlessly with N-channel MOSFETs and maintains a low off-state output. This product family provides a range of package and temperature options, allowing for a choice of maximum duty cycle, turnon and turnoff thresholds, and hysteresis ranges. While devices with higher turnon or turnoff hysteresis are ideal for off-line power supplies, those with a narrower hysteresis range are better suited for DC-DC applications. The UC184x devices are specified for operation from –55°C to 125°C, the UC284x series is specified for operation from –40°C to 85°C, and the UC384x series is specified for operation from 0°C to 70°C
