Details
The VIPER53E is an offline high voltage converter designed for low power applications such as power adapters, auxiliary power supplies, and standby power supplies. It operates on a wide input voltage range of 85 to 265 VAC and can deliver an output power of up to 5 W. The device is designed for efficient power conversion, with a high level of integration that reduces the number of external components required. It incorporates a high voltage startup circuit, a current mode PWM controller, a power MOSFET, and protection features such as overvoltage, overload, and overtemperature protection.The VIPER53E also features a built-in primary side regulation (PSR) mechanism that eliminates the need for an optocoupler and secondary side feedback circuits, simplifying the design and reducing the overall cost of the power supply.The device operates at a fixed frequency of 60 kHz, providing a stable output voltage regulation with low ripple and noise. It also features a low standby power consumption of less than 30 mW, making it suitable for standby power applications.
