Utilizing a 5th generation switch fabric, the CPS-1848 represents a significant advancement from previous CPS and Tsi switching architectures. With patent-pending features designed to minimize latency, ensure fair scheduling, and deliver exceptional multicast throughput, the CPS-1848 sets a new standard for performance and reliability. The device's 6.25 Gbaud SerDes technology is well-suited for backplanes and offers lower power consumption for local connectivity, maintaining high performance levels. Furthermore, the CPS-1848 achieves over twice the transmission channel distance and a three-order-of-magnitude improvement in bit error rate (BER) compared to previous standards, establishing itself as an indispensable solution for networking and communication systems
