Details
The HCF4099 is a CMOS integrated circuit that consists of an 8-bit shift register with parallel data inputs and outputs, a latch controlled by a serial input, and three-state buffered outputs for driving a load. It has a wide operating voltage range of 3V to 20V, making it suitable for use in a variety of applications.The device is designed to shift data into the register on the rising edge of the clock signal and can be used with both serial and parallel input configurations. The 8-bit shift register can be cascaded to create longer shift registers if needed. The latch is controlled by the serial data input, allowing data to be loaded and held in the latch independently of the shifting operation.The three-state buffered outputs of the HCF4099 allow for driving a load with a separate power supply, ensuring compatibility with different voltage levels. These outputs can be individually enabled or disabled, providing flexibility in the system design.
