With a precision analog output and a transfer function that is predominantly linear, the LM20 delivers consistent temperature readings with an accuracy of ±1.5°C at 30°C. The temperature error margin gradually increases as the temperature moves towards the extremes, reaching a maximum of ±2.5°C. The LM20's low quiescent current of less than 10μA ensures minimal self-heating, making it suitable for precise temperature measurements in various environments. Furthermore, the LM20 features intrinsic shutdown capability due to its low power consumption, eliminating the need for external shutdown mechanisms.
