Details
The PCF8574DGVR is a highly versatile 8-bit input/output expander with a wide VCC operating range of 2.5V to 6V. It is compatible with most microcontroller families and communicates via the I2C interface, featuring both serial clock (SCL) and serial data (SDA) lines. The device's 8-bit quasi-bidirectional I/O port (P0–P7) includes latched outputs with high-current drive capability, making it suitable for driving LEDs directly. Additionally, the flexibility of this expander allows each I/O to function as an input or output without requiring a separate data-direction control signal. Upon power on, the I/Os are set to a high state, with only a current source to VCC being active
