Details
The TMS2516 is a 16K-bit (2048 x 8) Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) chip manufactured by Texas Instruments. It is a non-volatile memory device that can store data even when power is removed. The TMS2516 operates at a supply voltage of 4.5V to 5.5V and features a fast access time of around 150 nanoseconds. It has a low standby current of 100 microamps, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. This EEPROM chip offers a high level of reliability with an endurance of at least 100,000 erase/write cycles. It is also resistant to data retention for up to 50 years, ensuring long-term reliability for data storage applications. The TMS2516 is housed in a 24-pin dual in-line package (DIP) and is organized as 256 x 8 bits. It features a chip enable (CE) pin for activating the device, a write enable (WE) pin for write operations, and an output enable (OE) pin for enabling the output data.
