2N3055E is a popular NPN bipolar junction transistor that is commonly used in power amplifier and switching applications. It has a maximum collector current (Ic) of 15A and a maximum collector-emitter voltage (Vce) of 60V, making it suitable for high-power applications. The transistor is housed in a TO-3 metal can package, which provides good thermal conductivity and allows for easy mounting on heat sinks to dissipate heat generated during operation. It has a power dissipation rating of 115W, which means it can handle high power levels without overheating.2N3055E has a low base-emitter saturation voltage of 1.5V at a collector current of 4A, which ensures efficient switching and low power loss in applications where rapid switching is required.
